Elba Kroop : The Writer's Block

So, I decided I wanted to write something big. Something huge. Something iconic. Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom was, in my mind, single handedly responsible for me being a filmmaker. It’s responsible for starting a life of film. 

2 years ago I won a screenplay contest for a TV Pilot, Space. Then they asked me, “what else you got?” I responded with, “Well, I’ve been writing an Indiana Jones movie”. Silence. More silence. Finally, “Really…?”

Obviously, nothing every happened with either of those things, being the flavor of the month came and went, now they just mess my name up. 

I wrote the original draft almost 2 years ago. It’s gone through a number of changes and now, after all this time, I’ve come to a place where, “This is the Indiana Jones that I want to see.” 

So here it is. I’m interested in what you think. Spread it around. Let me hear what you have to say. I’m just assuming that since this is a piece of pop culture legend, people will rip this thing apart. And that’s okay. I like it. I think it’s fun.
